Vehicle Claims Adjuster

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Vehicle Claims Adjuster for our client in Kirkwood, MO. This role is responsible for the setup, review, and processing of automotive claims.
Primary Job Function
The Claims Adjuster reviews repair estimates, inspection reports, and supporting documentation; communicates with repair facilities and customers; and determines contract coverage and authorization amounts in accordance with company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle incoming calls in a call center environment
* Review and adjudicate vehicle claims according to established departmental procedures and company guidelines
* Verify repair estimates using national labor and parts guides
* Analyze repair documentation to determine coverage eligibility under service contract terms
* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dealers, repair facilities, and vendors via phone and email
* Determine appropriate authorization amounts using sound judgment and mechanical knowledge
* Accurately document all claim activity, research, and decisions in the claims administration system
* Work collaboratively with the claims team and proactively support department goals
* Maintain high productivity and customer service standards
* Participate in training sessions and continuing education as required
* Assist management with special projects or issues as requested
Required Education & Experience
* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Technical training or a college degree is a plus
* Preferred: 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair or equivalent automotive technical experience
Required Skills & Competencies
* Strong automotive mechanical knowledge
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
* Experience using email, instant messaging, and virtual meeting platforms
* Excellent customer service skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment
